Fresh water advocate optimistic about 2014 accomplishments in water education, recycling and management

Sharon Kleyne HourTM radio guests add to understanding of water management, conservation, atmosphere and human water needs

Hear the Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water on World Talk Radio, Voice America, Green Talk Network and Apple iTunesp

For fresh water advocate and radio host Sharon Kleyne, 2014 was a landmark year in accomplishing her show's mission of educating the public about fresh water recycling and management, the atmosphere and human health. If key guest interviews are an indication, many breakthroughs have been made or will be made and there is reason for optimism that the world's many water problems can be solved despite climate change and population growth.

The syndicated Sharon Kleyne Hour™ Power of Water® radio show, hosted by fresh water advocate Sharon Kleyne, is heard weekly on VoiceAmerica and Apple iTunes. The education oriented show is sponsored by Bio-Logic Aqua® Research, a global research and technology center founded by Kleyne and specializing in fresh water, the atmosphere and dehydration. Nature's Tears® EyeMist® is the Research Center's signature product for dry and dehydrated eyes.

Fresh water, according to Kleyne, is the basis of all life and human economic activity on Earth. Supplying people with safe, abundant and reliable fresh water, says Kleyne, must become the number one priority of every government. Thousands of lives are lost each day - especially among children -due to water and dehydration related illnesses. Water shortages affect quality of life and health whether one lives in a remote village in Kenya or Beverly Hills.

Much more study is needed, says Kleyne, but she is optimistic what with education, the world's water problems can be equitably solved and there will be enough water for everyone. She cites six of her show's 2014 guests who made significant contributions to the world's understanding of fresh water, the atmosphere and human health. Gerald Pollack, PhD (show of Nov. 10, 2014), is a professor of Bioengineering at the University of Washington and the discoverer of "fourth phase" water, in addition to the solid, liquid and gas phases. This discovery is critically important, according to Pollack, because most of the water inside human cells is fourth phase water that behaves differently than liquid water. Fourth phase water also effects the way atmospheric water vapor reacts to air pollution.

L. DeWayne Cecil, PhD (Dec. 5, 2014), has been a Climatologist for NASA, the USGS and NOAA, specializing in long term climatic patterns. Nearly every outcome of global climate change, says Cecil, puts the global drinking water supply and human health at increased risk. As temperatures rise, evaporative pressure increases on moist surfaces such as lakes, oceans and soil - and also on skin and eyes. They then dehydrate, or lose water, while releasing water vapor into the atmosphere. Although ground level humidity has remained steady in recent years, upper atmospheric humidity is decreasing.

Neil Grigg, PhD (Sept. 15, 2014) is an international water policy consultant and Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Colorado State University. In Grigg's Total Water Management (TWM ) program, all future sewage and waste water treatment plants would have the capacity to cost effectively process, recycle and resell100% of waste water produced by humans, including both liquid and solid components.

Effie Chow, PhD (Oct. 13, 2014) was born in China and is a leading Qigong Healer and founder of San Francisco's East-West Academy of Healing Arts. Chow served on President Clinton's White House Conference on Complimentary and Alternative Medicine. The basic elements required for health and balance in Qigong healing, according to Chow, are fresh water, correct breathing, proper diet and positive mental attitude.

Yuan Fang, MD, PhD (Nov. 14, 2014), is CEO of Hangzhou Derlead Bio-Tech LTD in Hangzhou, China, which specializes in diagnostic technology, biogenetics and genome research. Dr. Yuan is interested in the role of water and genetics in triggering the immune system. In the recent Ebola outbreak, according to Yuan, Nigeria contained the virus by making more drinking water available, thus strengthening the immune systems of its population.

Sean Dewane (Dec. 12, 2014) is President of the Orange County Water District (OCWD),which must provide water for three million people from sources that are rapidly drying up. During California's record breaking drought, the OCWD's innovative Ground Water Replenishment program is purifying wastewater to a standard exceeding state and federal requirements. Treated water is then introduced back into depleted ground water aquifers and eventually re-extracted. The district had previously dumped waste water into the Pacific Ocean.
