The world is drying up and if humans don't quickly figure out how to use the Earth's dwindling fresh water wisely, the result could be disastrous. That is the message of Sharon Kleyne, water researcher, entrepreneur, research center founder and host of the Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water radio show. Kleyne has backed up her words by developing several new technologies to enable humans to achieve greater benefits from smaller amounts of fresh water, thus lessening the urgency of the worldwide fresh water crisis.

Humid Air May Be More Dehydrating than Dry Air Reports Water and Health Researcher

The globally syndicated Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water® radio show, with host Sharon Kleyne, is heard on the VoiceAmerica Variety and Health and Wellness Channels, and Apple iTunes. Kleyne is Founder of Bio-Logic Aqua Research, a research, technology and product development center, and the world's only company specializing in fresh water, atmosphere and health. Natures Tears® EyeMist® is the Research Center's global signature hydration product.

Kleyne has been concerned about global fresh water shortages for nearly a half-century, during which the problem has steadily worsened. According to Kleyne, 1.6 billion of Earth's seven billion inhabitants do hot have access to enough fresh, safe water to meet their daily drinking, cooking and sanitation requirements.

Fresh water shortages in the United States, according to Kleyne, though urgent, have not yet become life threatening. Kleyne is disturbed too many people in the United States who are fortunate enough to have plenty of fresh water, fail to understand water's importance to health and do not drink nearly enough water per day.

Kleyne's approach to the global fresh water crisis is two-pronged. She is in the forefront of new fresh water technologies and, through her Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water radio show, she is a tireless and highly visible water advocate and spokesperson.

Kleyne founded Bio-Logic Aqua Research after years of research led her to conclude that human skin and eyes are capable of absorbing a surprisingly large amount water directly from the air's humidity - provided the humidity is unpolluted and the air isn't too dry. When the air's humidity drops too low, rather than absorb water from the air, skin and eyes begin losing water to evaporation and dehydrating. Skin is 70 percent water and eyes' surface is 98 percent water.

Kleyne also discovered that pure water applied around skin and eyes as an ultra-fine mist will create a micro-environment of fresh, humid air. For this added humidity to be beneficially absorbed by skin and eyes, Kleyne learned, the water's analysis must fall within a specified range of pH balance, mineral content and purity.

In 2009, Kleyne was awarded the first US Patent on the technology, developed by her company, of personal portable hand-held humidifying devices emitting an all-water Trade Secret mist to add supplemental moisture to skin and eyes. Kleyne now owns numerous patents worldwide. Her Research Center's eye humidifying product, Nature's Tear® EyeMist®, is available online and in drugstores nationwide, and will soon be available in numerous countries.

The Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water radio show recently observed its seventh anniversary. The show has become a global forum for water related issues ranging from health, nutrition and dehydration, to agriculture, water distribution and recycling, weather patterns, recreation, global politics and water wars, and the role of water vapor in the atmospheres of Earth, the Moon, Mars and the universe.

The radio show's 400 past guests include: Robert Latkany, MD, The Dry Eye Remedy (Hatherleigh, 2007). Marguerite McDonald, MD, who performed the world's first laser eye surgery.
