The quickest and best cure for a common headache could be a simple glass of water, reports water researcher Winston Kao, speaking on the Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water radio show of June 30, 2014. Kao believes that nearly all human illnesses, including most headaches, ultimately trace to either dehydration from drinking too little water, or to drinking the wrong water. Kao and show host Sharon Kleyne agreed that the first step in treating most headaches should be to drink a 16 ounce glass of fresh water.

Humid Air May Be More Dehydrating than Dry Air Reports Water and Health Researcher

Winston Kao is an entrepreneur, inventor, independent researcher, and owner of Go Beyond Orqanic (http://www.gobeyondorganic.com/). The company makes Natural Plus Plus nutritional supplements. Kao's research interests include water, humidity, soils, pollution, nutrient dense foods, fluoridation and the alarming global decline in soil productivity. Kao is a frequent guest on the Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water®.

The globally syndicated Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water® radio show, with host Sharon Kleyne, is heard on VoiceAmerica and Apple iTunes. Kleyne is also Founder of Bio-Logic Aqua Research, a water and health research and product development center. Natures Tears® EyeMist®, a 100% pure water mist, is the Research Center's global signature product for dry eyes.

Most fresh water will quickly hydrate the body and soothe a headache, according to Kao, but some waters may not. Water for drinking should be slightly alkaline, with a pH above 7.0. Water with an acidic pH below 6.4 can be dehydrating to drink.

Kao cautions against the "reverse osmosis" treatment used for many bottled waters. According to Kao, reverse osmosis water is overly acidic and lacking in beneficial minerals. Water with added fluoride should also be avoided. According to Kao, fluoride can be removed but most home water filters remove very little. He recommends a catalytic charcoal filter or other high-quality home filtering system.

Even better than the glass of water, Kao reports, is a glass of water with pinches of Celtic sea salt, a product called "cell salt," and potassium glutamate. All are available in health food stores, Kleyne adds, and are preferable to aspirin, ibuprofen or acetaminophen. The headache should start to get better within 15 minutes of drinking the fresh water and eating the salt.

Celtic sea salt, according to Kao, contains 93 elements, tan rock salt contains 53 elements and most table salt contains three elements - sodium, chlorine and aluminum - possibly with a little iodine or dextrose added. .

Kleyne and Kao agree that people should drink at least eight glasses of fresh water per day, in addition to all other fluids, and that the water should be consumed in full glasses and not sipped.

"Common headaches," Kleyne cautions, do not include severe migraines or headaches accompanied by weakness, numbness, paralysis, persistent vertigo, double vision, chest pain, severe back pain, shortness of breath, convulsions or blacking out.
